Cost effective try scuba programme
SSI believes that Intro to Scuba programmes should not task load the participants by teaching them too many skills. Our Resort Dive program is designed to provide an easy, safe and fun method to introduce prospective new divers to the wonders of the underwater world.
SSI's programme places the emphasis on Instructional supervision and only requires a dry mask and regulator removal and replacement underwater. The Instructor should directly control all other scuba skills. This philosophy to the intro program means that our course is the easiest to do (fewer drop-outs) and a lot of fun. For those operators in the Intro market, it means more profit.
Better utilisation of dive professionals
At the Dive Control Specialist and Associate Instructor levels, SSI Standards require that candidates work with Instructors on actual Open Water Diver Courses so that they gain valuable experience prior to certification.
For the dive centre owner this could mean a more cost effective workforce as you will have available free professional staff-in-training. It also means that up-and-coming instructors will know how to conduct their diving courses the way you want them done.
Associate Instructors, after certification, are qualified to run all pool and theory training without the supervision of an Instructor. This level of training makes SSI Dive Leaders high quality industry personnel.
